Support the tracking and communication of IT-related issues impacting Energy Markets systems, escalating risks or delays to appropriate management levels.
Coordinate staffing-related documentation and support Energy Markets workforce planning activities by consolidating inputs and preparing materials for management review.
Support Enterprise Risk Management activities for Energy Markets by collecting stakeholder inputs, consolidating risk information, and preparing updates to the Energy Markets risk register for management review.
Monitor and track external market and regulatory developments relevant to Energy Markets operations, facilitating internal communication to impacted stakeholders as required.
Monitor external market/regulatory developments; coordinate internal communications and support responses to regulatory/compliance inquiries.
Track and renew required certifications, licences, and access for participation in external power markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or relevant quantitative or analytical disciplines. CPA, CFA, or MBA would be an asset. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
8-10 years of people management experience with facilitative leadership skills.
Experience in an energy generation environment with a commercial focus would be an asset.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to provide guidance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Engineer and supervision of the Thermal Operating Supervisor/Shift Engineer, the Thermal Operating Technician is responsible for carrying out all operating, monitoring, and reporting activities, common and auxiliary equipment and systems associated with large high-pressure boilers and turbo-alternator units to meet station procedural and regulatory compliance. This role will be primarily on a rotating shift basis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Carry out operating and monitoring activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all assigned units, equipment, and systems, including process systems, feed water, fuel, chemical, water treatment, emission control, and auxiliary equipment.
Recognize abnormalities, inefficiencies, and hazards, and take corrective action through analysis and troubleshooting.
Perform all work protection code (WPC) activities as trained and, when required, act as the controlling/issuing authority for assigned equipment.
Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team, wearing a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus when necessary, and receive training in firefighting, confined space rescue, chemical spill response, and First Aid/CPR.
Carry out various measurements, including equipment, system, and process testing, to recognize standards and procedures.
Plan, control, and execute all phases of unit start-ups, including pre-start checks of equipment and systems.
Ensure appropriate actions during unit or bulk electricity system emergencies and proper integration during unit start-ups.
Inspect and maintain assigned emergency equipment, prepare reports, retain documentation for audits, and use light hand tools for minor maintenance..

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent plus a 3rd class Operating Engineer (OE) Certificate valid in the province of Ontario as a minimum requirement. *
Proficient in the use of standard office computer software (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Solid written/oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills and able to work in a team environment with other trades and operators
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Must be able to work shifts or days as needed

Reporting to the Electrical Production Technical Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing technical advice and guidance on a variety of technical matters within the designated area of responsibility for hydro station maintenance, operations, performance, design and commissioning.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Providing technical support and leadership to maintenance crews, and management.
Manage electrical engineering assessments, studies, inspections, investigations, designs, and evaluations for hydro turbine generators, and auxiliary systems associated with hydroelectric generation.
Preparation of drawings, technical specifications and construction estimates.
End to end management of request for proposals (RFP) process.
Provide technical support in regards to hydroelectric station maintenance operations, performance, design and commissioning.
Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and government agencies as required.
Respond to emergencies, conduct field investigations, prepare reports, and recommend actions; pre-start health and safety reviews, investigation of safety or technical incidents
Develop plans, standards and technical procedures for inspection, maintenance and asset life management programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

4 year University Degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) certification in good standing in the Province of Ontario is an asset
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer; demonstrate technical knowledge of hydro-electric generation; consideration will be given to more junior candidates as well.
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- High Voltage equipment over 115kV (transformers, breakers, switches)
- Medium voltage equipment 600V to 115kV (switchgear, disconnects, grounding, arc flash analysis)
- Exciters (static and rotated)
- Electrical Protections
- PLC, SCADA system and real time control networks (large scaled and wide geo would be a plus)
- Hydro generators and auxiliary systems
Experience conducting assessments, testing, studies, inspections, investigations, design, evaluations, construction monitoring & maintenance of electrical works associated with generating stations;
Experience participating in and leads root cause analysis for equipment issues.
Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills for the purposes of gathering and relaying information, resolving issues of concern;
Good organizational and leadership skills, and to be a self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment that is dedicated to engineering excellence and best practices;
High integrity, upholding company values including H&S, and protection of the environment;
Demonstrated knowledge of the OH&S Act and Regulations, especially for Industrial Establishments (Ont Reg 851) & Construction (Ont Reg 213) and various codes and standards associated with electrical engineering and application of their requirements.

Reporting to the Director, Software Engineering & AI, this position is responsible for end-to-end delivery leadership for an AI-enabled product portfolio, including experimentation-to-production pathways, scaled agile execution, and operational readiness. This role provides second-line leadership, directly leading 1–3 people managers and, through them, multiple multidisciplinary delivery teams.

The role establishes portfolio-level delivery governance to support rapid iteration while maintaining strong controls appropriate for AI solutions. It ensures predictable releases by optimizing delivery processes across teams, managing vendor and platform dependencies, and proactively identifying and mitigating delivery, operational, and regulatory risks. The Senior Manager drives continuous improvement using metrics and insights (e.g., flow efficiency, reliability, model performance, adoption, and value realization) and aligns execution to enterprise strategy through regular engagement with senior leaders and business stakeholders, including co-creation and continuous refinement of an outcomes-based roadmap.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline, combined with progressive experience (typically 10+ years) in IT, AI/ML, or digital delivery environments, including leadership roles.
Extensive experience in AI/ML and digital delivery leadership, including end-to-end ownership of AI-enabled products from experimentation through to production and operationalization.
Proven second-line leadership capability, with experience managing people leaders and overseeing multiple multidisciplinary teams delivering complex technology initiatives.
Strong background in scaled agile delivery and portfolio governance, including planning, dependency management, and aligning capacity with business priorities across teams.
Hands-on or leadership experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD for machine learning, model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, and lifecycle management.
Demonstrated expertise in AI platforms and enterprise technology ecosystems, including pipelines, model registries, feature management, and observability to enable reusable AI capabilities.

JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Manager, IT Service Desk.

Reporting to the Senior Manager IT Services, this position is responsible to lead and continuously improve Service Desk operations and ITSM capabilities by managing resources, SLAs, performance metrics, process governance, automation, and customer satisfaction to deliver consistent, high-quality service outcomes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage day-to-day Service Desk operations and assigned resources to ensure timely, effective issue resolution aligned to SLAs and OPG objectives.
Lead Service Desk strategy and continuous initiatives, overseeing escalations and service impact communications.
Own Service Desk performance management, reporting, and productivity targets to ensure consistent service delivery.
Analyze service analytics, trends, patterns, and customer satisfaction metrics to improve existing channels and develop new service channels.
Ensure Service Desk processes are fully documented, consistently followed, regularly audited, and continuously improved.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline repeatable tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Responsible for client satisfaction by reviewing post-ticket survey feedback, addressing concerns, and driving corrective actions.
Develop and execute an ITSM/Service Desk roadmap, including process/tool improvements and integration with CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management, and HR onboarding/offboarding.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (college diploma or university degree).
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in an IT Service Desk / ITSM environment, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Service Desk Lead/Manager) with accountability for operations, SLAs, escalations, performance reporting, and continuous improvement/automation.
Demonstrated experience leading Service Desk operations, including resource management, ticket flow oversight, and meeting SLA/OLA targets.
Strong knowledge of ITSM best practices (e.g., Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Knowledge) and experience improving and governing service processes.
Proven ability to use service analytics (KPIs, trends, CSAT) to drive performance improvements, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Hands-on experience with Service Desk/ITSM tools and automation capabilities (workflows, self-service, integrations) to streamline repeatable tasks.
Solid understanding of CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management concepts and their dependencies within an ITSM environment.
Experience coordinating cross-functional integrations and operational workflows, such as HR onboarding/offboarding, and managing escalations and stakeholder communications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Translate complex regulated enterprise business/operational needs into end-to-end technical solution designs across systems, APIs, and user workflows.
Define solution approaches across APIs, microservices, and integrated platforms aligned to enterprise architecture and scalability targets.
Design cohesive user journeys and system interactions across interconnected applications, including legacy-to-modern integrations.
Build and iterate technical prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate approaches, assumptions, and integration feasibility while reducing delivery risk.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define system designs, integration patterns, and technical tradeoffs.
Drive operational process and workflow optimization through value stream analysis and identification of bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Ensure backlog structure and delivery sequencing reflect technical dependencies, constraints, and overall solution intent.
Make and communicate tradeoff decisions across scope, timeline, quality, and technical constraints to technical and business stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

4-Year University Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience designing end-to-end technical solutions in a regulated enterprise environment across integrated systems, APIs/microservices, and user workflows.
Demonstrated experience translating complex business and operational needs in regulated enterprise environments into end-to-end technical solution designs across multiple systems, APIs, and user workflows.
Strong architectural capability defining scalable solution approaches across APIs, microservices, and integrated platforms, aligned with enterprise architecture standards and non-functional requirements.
Proven ability to design cohesive user journeys and system interactions across interconnected applications, including legacy-to-modern integration patterns.
Hands-on experience building and iterating prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate feasibility, reduce delivery risk, and inform implementation decisions.
Effective collaboration skills with engineering and architecture teams to define system design, integration patterns, and evaluate technical tradeoffs.
Experience driving operational process improvements using value stream analysis, including identifying bottlenecks and translating insights into delivery plans/backlog sequencing while clearly communicating tradeoffs to technical and business stakeholders.
