QUALIFICATIONS

University degree with a focus in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or internationally recognized CPA qualification in good standing (e.g., US CPA, CA/ACCA)
8-10 years’ experience, with previous experience as a leader
Demonstrated success in managing accurate financial and operational reporting, including monthly and year-end closings and variance analysis
Proficient in financial risk assessment, development of internal controls, and serving as a primary contact during audits
Experience in designing and implementing financial policies, programs, and systems that support corporate objectives
Proven commitment to fiscal responsibility and the application of best practices in financial management and performance measurement
Background in business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and presenting strategic business plans to stakeholders

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, this position is responsible to plan, coordinating and performing procurement assignments for various goods and services, including EPCM and its variants, engineered products, materials, services, and vendor management inventory programs. Plan, co-ordinate and provide support in the management of inventory, and inventory controls. Review the adequacy of competitive sources, prepare agreement documents, review proponents' lists, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts and prepare/issue various purchasing documents. Review claims, progress payments and escalation claims. Act as an information resource to requisitioners and suppliers and assess vendor performance. Review Procurement/Material/Quality Plans from suppliers and provide comments. Perform Oversight on Suppliers Procurement Processes. Coordinate and schedule oversight activities and prepare reports and Oversight plans. Interface with clients in support of daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as a Supply Chain representative to be the information resource to coordinate support for services and materials.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Act as an information resource to users, requisitioners and suppliers on the Corporation's procurement processes and commercial considerations. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding supplier qualification procedures, agreement processes, contract standards, quality assurance programs, etc. Provide assistance to procurement groups on technical matters including proponent list preparation, quality and regulatory requirements, surveillance assignments, acceptance criteria and testing, manufacturing problems, etc.
Participate at site (both generating and non generating OPG facilities) daily, weekly and monthly meetings to plan, coordinate, and status various items and services to support site operations. Ability to implement strategies that consolidate and leverage the various tactical requests.
Assess Market conditions and available supply base to support review of the adequacy of competitive sources and recommend corrective action where sources are insufficient. Develop a procurement strategy considering the marketplace and the needs of the requisitioners and end-users. Develop and recommend sourcing strategies to the customer. Consult with Supervisor or other Supply Chain, or internal or external staff/clients when necessary.
Review Ontario Power Generation (OPG) approved vendor lists to ensure adequacy for competitive sourcing. Monitor and track suppliers' performance. Investigate unsatisfactory vendor performance and work with supplier to correct the situation or recommend the removal of the supplier from approved lists. Maintain current records on suppliers' capabilities and performance.
Prepare or review draft and final Request for Quotations, Proposals, Information (RFI, RFQ, RFP), contracts, and purchase order documents ensuring resolution of any areas of concern or ambiguity. Establish that acceptable quality program levels are assigned and that clear acceptance criteria exist. Review specifications to ensure purchasing conditions conform to Supply Chain's standards, policies, practices and jurisdictional requirements. Where possible, resolve areas of conflict whether in commercial, quality or technical areas. Issue RFx and any subsequent addenda and bring to Supervisors attention those areas for which resolution cannot be found.
Evaluate incoming quotes, proposals for vendor exceptions. Consider total landed cost with emphasis in priority order, quality, schedule, client needs and price. This may also include quality assurance needs, technical specifications, delivery requirements, commercial variances, vendor historical performance, capabilities and other relevant factors in the analysis of proposals. Participate with requisitioners in clarification of vendor offerings and the resolution of non-conformances at pre-award meetings with vendors. Ensure an understanding by the prospective vendor of OPG's needs and expectations. In conjunction with the requisitioner, make award recommendations that ensure the best overall value for OPG while following OPG code of conduct and governance.
Negotiate contracts under the direction of Supervisor where no adequate competition exists or where it is in the Corporation's best interests. Work with requisitioner in establishing an acceptable supplier proposal with respect to the technical, commercial and quality specifications and recommend its acceptance to the requisitioner.
Ensure the preparation or prepare the various purchasing documents such as commercial proposal reviews, price competition sheets, letters of intent, awards, purchase orders, and instruction notices. Arrange post-award meetings with suppliers and inspection to ensure a clear understanding of contractual responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a four-year university education in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science or Law.
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
Requires an engineering knowledge to provide a complete technical service for the procurement of various materials, Engineered components and services including the application of complex technical specifications and manufacturing processes and developing new strategies and methods.
Requires knowledge of business administration for the commercial administration of all phases of the procurement process.
Requires experience to understand the design, fabrication, assembly, testing and installation practices in order to assess capabilities of manufacturer's facilities. QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree, college diploma, or completion of a leadership program in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a nuclear power plant or another highly regulated industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, oil and gas).
• Strong technical knowledge of fuel handling equipment and systems (or a comparable technical field), with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.

Prepare Bills of Material, material lists, listing such features as material description, make and catalogue number, code markings and quantity for each different type of material shown on the drawings. Perform any necessary calculations. Make use of catalogues or the given data to compile the required detail.
Provide verification checklists for safety related systems. Requires an understanding of channelization discrepancies (cable separation between channels, groups, and voltages. Ensure new cables have not been routed in overloaded cable trays. Status on line wiring to current built installations.
Show others, internal and external personnel, how the CADS work stations operate. Demonstrate the use of equipment, operating techniques, etc., to interested parties.

JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven professionals to join our team in the role of Nuclear Operator in Training.

This position is a training program to become a Nuclear Operator. Training can take up to 18 months to complete depending on the assigned stream.

Nuclear Operators are responsible for keeping the nuclear generating station safe under normal and abnormal conditions. They make rounds of their designated areas within the plant to check and maintain the operating status of equipment, complete routines and regular inspections and perform tests on equipment

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Checking the status of equipment and systems to detect/assess problems and provide information to maintenance to assist in repairing equipment

Adhere to safety procedures to proactively prevent workplace accidents and immediately isolate and contain any problems that may arise

Document and record routine maintenance activities

Assist with testing functionality of equipment

Respond to abnormal station conditions per station governance

Perform field operations and activities in accordance with approved procedures, under the supervision of a Supervising Nuclear Operator.

Involvement with commissioning, start-up, running and shutdown of various nuclear station systems.

Working safely with various types of equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must meet at least one of the following education requirements: 

Secondary School Diploma that includes Grade 12-U (university) preparation courses in mathematics and in physics and/or chemistry;

Secondary School Diploma plus a College Power Engineering Diploma (1, 2 or 3 year program)

Secondary School Diploma plus a four year University Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline

Secondary School Diploma plus a two or three year College Technician/Technologist Diploma in a program below (or the equivalent):

Stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb for prolonged periods during a shift.

Safely perform field operations in radiological and/or tritium‑controlled environments, in accordance with prescribed safety procedures.

Respond to abnormal and emergency plant conditions, which may require physical stamina, use of tools, and rapid movement throughout the station.

Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Maintain effective communication with internal/external stakeholders and agencies; chair stakeholder meetings; coordinate turnover documentation, track/close deficiencies; conduct site/manufacturer/supplier visits as needed; stay current on corporate procedures, best practices, and technology, and liaise with plant/outage/work-control teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a 4-year university degree in a relevant field or a combination of post-secondary education, PM training/courses, and equivalent experience.
Requires a knowledge of project management principles, specifically the 5 primary project phases (Identification, Initiation, Definition, Execution, Closeout).
2–4 years of project management experience supporting requirements/plans, developing cost estimates, participating in tendering/award, supporting execution-phase project/contract delivery, and closeout.
Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and change.
Sound knowledge of equipment and processes in hydroelectric generating stations or similar heavy industry; understanding of construction methods, codes/standards, and QA/QC.
Experience with cost accounting, forecasting, and project cost control.
Experience in applying commercial contracting methods, contract management/administration, and construction health & safety practices.
Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; effective team player able to coordinate internal/external stakeholders, including environmental protection considerations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Reporting to the Manager, Pay Services, this position is responsible to perform operation of the pay systems and processes within the responsibility of Pay Services department (e.g. pay related runs such as A/P runs for the pension system, off cycles, support T4 processing and amendments) where assigned or as scheduled. Perform analytical assignments as assigned by the Manager or Team Leader. Perform compliance activities related to pay related legislation and collective agreement requirements for which Pay Services is responsible. Participate in and carry-out Pay Services' system testing or requirements specification.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Co-ordinate and process multiple bulk uploads both on-cycle or off-cycle (e. g, AIP/Computershare, Society / PWU CA, MG pay rate changes, PA's, Tax Credit Indexing) coordinating with Compensation, Local HR , IT and handling communications on behalf of the department.
Interact with other groups such as HR Local, Finance, Power News, internal/external/government auditors, government agencies and external agencies such as Canada Revenue Agency, and the various unions (e.g. for complex system queries or trouble shooting to resolve payment situations, to assist auditors in their investigation, to trouble shoot with HR or NHSS staff etc.). Provides specific direction to pay staff across the Corporation on steps to be taken to resolve complex problems in processing pay or correcting error situations, within the scope of Pay Services responsibilities. Develop and roll out training materials or develop and implement short training sessions for staff in Pay Services, Local HR offices, or others as assigned. Within the scope of Pay Services' responsibilities, provide/arrange for ad hoc information reports and/or file downloads; prepare and input G/L account journal entries. Organize, coordinate and execute Pay Services' system testing or requirements specification, ensuring extensive, sophisticated, critical and high volume testing is completed to exacting standards. Ensure systems are appropriately updated and in a state of readiness, e.g. for year end table changes, tax changes etc.

Balance system runs/activities with the available analytical resources and with system capabilities. Assign analysts to perform pay and pay related processing (e.g. production pay runs, pay related runs such as A/P runs for the pension system, tax/T4 processing) and personally perform these activities where assigned or as scheduled. Plan, maintain, update and test the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans. Monitor pay production and remain available for the complete pay production process in event of system issues.
Provide specific direction to Pay Services Analysts on the running of the pay systems e. g specify, authorize, take direct action or involve the Manager Pay Services to achieve recovery when the computerized pay system encounters problems. Assign analysts to perform pay and pay related processing and personally perform these activities where assigned or as scheduled. Lead temporary teams as assigned by the Manager or Team Leader. Ensure training of and provide procedural/ scheduling/work assignment instructions to Pay Services analysts. Monitor operation of the systems and processes to verify that desired results have been achieved and if necessary initiate further corrective actions. Relieve for Team Leader as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

4 University Degree in Accounting or Related Field
PCP or PLP Certification an asset and experience using SAP considered an Asset
4+ years of Payroll Processing experience in different operations, procedures and practices and systems for controlling and reporting of input and output of the employee and pensioners pay systems.
Requires experience to establish corporate accounting requirements and take effective action to develop, implement and maintain procedures of the pay systems.
Requires experience to be conversant with various divisions to provide advice and guidance on matters pertaining to the Union agreements, year-end T4/T4A process and to the operation, input and output of the employee and pensioner pay systems, policies and practices.
Requires experience to be able to provide specific direction on the running of the pay system and be responsible for system related decisions which will determine whether the payroll will be met on time/accurately.
Requires experience to coordinate: Audits of pay processes; staff and activities across Pay Services; the activities of auditors within the department; and testing activities and Business Continuity arrangements.

4+ years of hands-on experience planning and executing ServiceNow platform upgrades and patching across non-production and production environments.

Act as process owner for the regulatory accounts transaction and reporting processes, providing accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries associated with regulatory account balances, and interfacing with external and internal auditors in support of OPG’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
Collaborate with the broader finance team and other groups within OPG to prepare monthly forecasts of regulatory accounts in support of performance reporting and to support the annual business planning process through accurate and timely preparation of the regulatory account balances business plan.
Utilize a range of financial systems such as SAP to effectively manage and analyze financial data while maintaining a consistent framework for accounting activities across the organization.
Prepare submissions pursuant to the OEB’s reporting requirements for OPG for each year in accordance with the timelines set out by the OEB.
Assist in the application of new electricity rates for OPG in front of the OEB, including preparing evidence, preparing responses to questions from OEB staff and other key external stakeholders, and providing support as necessary during technical conferences and oral hearings.
Responsible for any ad-hoc information requests on regulatory accounts from both internal and external sources. The related information is high profile and requires a sound knowledge base of accounting and regulatory processes.
As applicable, oversee and/or design regulatory accounting integrated financial processes within corporate and/or between corporate and sites with a clear consideration of internal control implications.

QUALIFICATIONS

4 years of University in a business discipline (ie. Accounting, Commerce, Economics); CPA designation is required.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a public company or rate-regulated environment is an asset; experience in utilities, electricity, or power industries would be an asset.
Experience in a similar consultative role to provide advice, guidance and assistance in the application of financial accounting policies and procedures, including experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP, identifying key issues and assessing alternative solutions.
Demonstrated experience in the preparation and analysis of consolidated balance sheets and operating accounts, cash flows, and year-over-year analysis of various accounts, with knowledge of the requirements for the preparation of consolidated financial statements and financial reporting in a large organization.
High level of proficiency with the use of information technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook, as well as experience using large financial or integrated enterprise systems such as SAP Finance Modules and an affinity for using technology to find efficient ways to collate and disseminate knowledge.
A results-oriented self-starter who demonstrates a sense of urgency and sound decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and effectively manage several projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and communicate effectively across the company and externally at all levels, combined with sound judgment, attention to detail, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities.
