JOB OVERVIEW

 

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven students to join our team in the role of Skilled Trade Student. We have multiple opportunities available in our Durham and Clarington facilities. We offer four (4) and eight (8) month work terms that will start in September, 2024. These roles are 100% onsite (5 days per week) at the participating facilities. Please note that our Clarington location is not accessible by public transit.

EDUCATION

Minimum completion of 1st year at a college, specializing in any of the trades noted above.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 

 All students must: 

  • Possess a valid G2 drivers license to support a high travel component associated with these positions.

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time, post-secondary student in a recognized institution. 

  • Have completed a minimum of 1st year in college by the start of the opportunity. 

  • Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA. 

  • Be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR require the work term or co-op placement to graduate.
