In 2025, Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is establishing a new corporate headquarters on a campus setting in the Municipality of Clarington located within Durham Region. The new campus will include the existing Darlington Energy Complex located just south of Highway 401 and a new building to be constructed on adjacent land presently owned by OPG.

Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG) is looking for a results-oriented professional to join our team in on a temporary basis in the role of Senior Information Systems Specialist, at our 700 University Avenue location in Downtown Toronto.  The role allows for hybrid working model from home up to two days per week.


Reporting to the Senior Manager Market Affairs, the Senior Information Systems Specialist, is responsible for supporting OPG’s Commercial Markets Data Strategy programs enterprise wide, including administration, enhancement and upgrades of data infrastructure applications and data systems.


This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to OPG’s public outreach, engagement and education efforts as part of the company’s commitment to growing its social license.



  • Lead stakeholder discussions to identify and document their existing (and future) data needs and processes.
  • Provide support to several Quality Assurance programs by helping develop Test Driven Development criteria and running test plans that validate software functionality and datasets
  • Define and document use cases, testing requirements and acceptance criteria through Azure DevOps.  
  • Provide support for project management, technical leadership and system expertise to projects and teams involved in the design, development, deployment and administration of advanced project management information systems or tools



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline



  • 8 years experience in an Information Systems role within complex large organizations
  • Proven ability to lead and participate in support, maintenance, audit and test teams in a multi-application and multi-environment (ie. Dev, Test, Prod) technology ecosystem.
  • Ability to deliver high quality reporting on technical issues identified and providing remediation guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Microsoft DevOps (incl. Test Plans)
