Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our Shared Financial Services team in the role of Senior Financial Processing Analyst located in Toronto, Ontario.


The Senior Financial Processing Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager Transaction Processing, will work with a highly experienced team to develop and update existing job aids as required within the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Corporate Card Department.  The Senior Financial Processing Analyst will also review existing procedures in the department for opportunities to optimize, clarify and/or update as required.

  • Develop and review or update departmental job aids and procedures.
  • Coordinate projects and participate in initiatives which optimize and re-engineer current business processes.
  • Collaborate with team to make strategic recommendations and conduct formal presentations to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with team and job shadow to learn AP/AR processes
  • Produce required reports such as predictive trend reporting, statistical reports and progress reports.



  • 4-year university degree, Finance, Accounting, or Economics



  • 6+ years of experience collaborating within a work group and performing all aspects of project monitoring and controlling
  • Experience and understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other financial accounting functions 
  • Experience developing job aids and/or reviewing or developing procedures
  • Lean Six Sigma training an asset
  • Expert ability to work with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well, both verbally and written, is essential
  • Ability to present information clearly and effectively
  • Comfortable working with / learning the application of various computer systems and software
