(OPG) is excited to offer one (1) student opportunity in our Pension and Benefits Department in Toronto, Ontario.  This is an eight (8) months student placement commencing in September, 2021.



  • Pension membership and payment data analysis and review.
  • Benefits claims and experience data analysis and review.
  • Actuarial valuation data reconciliation and review.
  • Assist with pension and OPEB actuarial valuation process.
  • Assist with pension and benefits governance audit requirements and documentation.
  • Assist with pension and benefits administration process.
  • Liaise with pension and benefits plan actuary, administrator and legal counsel
  • Assist with grievance process.
  • Assist with maintaining information in a drug formulary database.
  • Assist with pension file retrieval, review and archive.
  • Tracking pension and benefit deliverables and queries.



Minimum completion of 2nd year at a University specializing in Actuarial Mathematics, Mathemtics or Finance.



All students applying for student positions at OPG must meet the below eligibility:

  • Enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution.
  • Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA.
  • Returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR requiring the work term or co-op placement to graduate
