Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is excited to offer two (2) student opportunities in our People and Culture - Training, Planning and Design Department in Pickering, ON. This is an eight (8) months student placement commencing in September, 2019.


All students applying for student positions at OPG must meet the below eligibility:

  • Enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution.
  • Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA.
  • Returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR requiring the work term or co-op placement to graduate.



  • Assist in developing and publishing on-line courses.
  • Assist in e-learning help desk.


  • Minimum completion of 1st year at a University or College specializing in Webpage Publishing, Arts, Business, Education, Journalism and/or Communications.



Preference may be given to the candidate who has the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong technical experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Familiar with Articulate products.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Problem solving & critical thinking.
  • Contact and work with 3rd party software manufacturers/vendors when required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent English written and communication skills (French would be an asset).
  • Understand the user technical issues/requirements.
  • Adherence to deadlines.
  • Willing to provide solutions that are complete and meet the requirements.


This job will provide you with the following professional development:

  • Web-based application development tools (Microsoft PowerPoint, Articulate 360). 
  • Communication and customer support.
  • Working in a team environment.
  • Enhanced time management/organizational skills.
  • Enhanced communication (verbal and written) skills.
