JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Project Manager (Process Controls).
Reporting to the Manager, Projects, this position is responsible for leading specialized, complex process control and real-time computing projects, overseeing the full project lifecycle from concept through execution, commissioning, and close-out while ensuring delivery against safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the management and control of complex projects involving process control computing and real-time systems (hardware and software)
- Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedules, cost estimates, resource plans, and risk management strategies
- Manage engineering, procurement, and construction activities to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Oversee and coordinate technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, commissioning procedures, testing plans, and software qualification artifacts
- Apply project management governance practices including phase gating, change control, reporting, and performance monitoring
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability risk assessments and support development of associated training materials
- Liaise with stakeholders including contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal partners to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Software, Electrical Engineering or related is required; PMP certification is an asset
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive project management experience, preferably in nuclear, power generation, or utilities environments
- Experience with process control systems or real-time computing environments is required
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, cost control, scheduling, and contract management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations in operational technology environments is an asset

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions.
