JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Project Leader.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this position on the Boiler Replacement project is responsible planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, ensuring quality delivery of engineering deliverables, and that high-quality execution readiness plans are in place.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead and oversee all phases of project management, ensuring compliance with governance and best practices from initiation to closeout.
- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change control while maintaining safety, quality, and budget targets.
- Prepare business cases, project charters, and approval documentation, collaborating with stakeholders to align project requirements.
- Coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring smooth execution through clear communication and issue resolution.
- Monitor project progress, provide status reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure contract management, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to internal and external approvals.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant 4-year University degree, PMP certification is considered an asset.
- 6 years + years of relevant working experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience managing multi-contract, multi-stakeholder projects under schedule constraints.
- Proven ability to develop project requirements and plans, prepare cost estimates, participate in RFP and contract development processes, oversee project execution, and manage project closeout.
- Nuclear industry background is an asset.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
