JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professionals to join our team in the role of Winter 2026 Co-Op Student to start in January 2026.

 

Enterprise Operations: The Enterprise Operations business unit at OPG is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s core operational activities, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient generation of electricity across all OPG facilities. 

 

We are looking for students enrolled in one of the following college programs:

  • Power Engineering
  • Electrical Technologist
  • Electrical & Controls Technician
  • Mechanical Technician

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Contribute to projects aligned with your field and career interests, applying classroom knowledge to practical assignments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes relevant to the industry.
  • Take ownership of tasks, support daily operations, and seek mentorship for professional growth.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at a recognized college majoring in one of the following disciplines:
    • Power Engineering
    • Electrical Technologist
    • Electrical & Controls Technician
    • Mechanical Technician
  • College, minimum 1st year completed 
  • Returning to full-time studies after the work term or require the placement to graduate.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 70% (unofficial transcript is required).
