JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Solutions Configurator (Finance Apps – Quantum).
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Applications, this role is primarily responsible for the configuration, sustainment, and optimization of the Quantum treasury management system, which supports OPG’s cash management, banking, and investment operations.
The successful candidate will lead production support activities, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and interface management, while also contributing to enhancements, reporting solutions, and integration with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and Azure-based data environments. This role requires deep expertise in Quantum, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to support mission-critical financial systems in a highly regulated environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of the Quantum treasury management system, ensuring system stability, performance, and alignment with business and IT standards.
- Provide daily production support for Quantum and MV90 systems, including monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of system and interface issues.
- Design, develop, and enhance system configurations and customizations within Quantum, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and optimal performance for treasury and financial operations.
- Develop and maintain custom reports (e.g., Crystal Reports) and data outputs to support business reporting, reconciliation, and decision-making.
- Manage and support system integrations between Quantum, MV90, and enterprise platforms such as SAP ECC/S/4HANA and Azure-based data environments.
- Perform root cause analysis on production incidents across Quantum and MV90, implement sustainable fixes, and document solutions for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and patches for Quantum and MV90, including planning, test strategy development, execution, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot connectivity issues, including network-related challenges impacting MV90 and downstream systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A 4-Year University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required to gain this knowledge.
- Over 6 years’ experience in enterprise application configuration and improving system performance. Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and modifying and sustainment in Quantum, as well as managing and optimizing finance processes.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues in Quantum and/or MV90 to ensure high system availability.
- Ability to prepare test scripts, support user acceptance testing, and provide effective assistance and training to end-users.
- Involvement in SAP S/4 HANA and/or SAP Datasphere implementation or migration projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and go-live support.
