JOB OVERVIEW

 

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a highly skilled and driven Senior Manager Supply Chain Modernization to lead and support the modernization of supply chain in alignment with our target operating model and upcoming ERP requirements. This role will be central to transforming how we operate, integrating new processes with enabling technologies, and driving sustainable changes across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt (mandatory) with deep expertise in process design, implementation, and change management. Strong facilitation and project management skills are essential to ensure delivery against the modernization roadmap.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Provide expertise and oversight in data-related activities for ERP readiness, including data cleansing, mapping, migration, and sustainment.
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma (Black Belt) initiatives to drive efficiency, eliminate redundancies, and enhance process quality.
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and collaborative design sessions to engage stakeholders and achieve consensus.
  • Support change management initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, training, and communication planning.
  • Collaborate with ERP/EAM program teams to ensure process designs are ERP-ready and aligned with system capabilities.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables to achieve key modernization milestones
  • Strong understanding of process integration with enabling technologies (e.g., ERP, planning tools, automation platforms).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field;  Master’s preferred.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification. (preferred but not required)
  • 8+ years of experience in process re-engineering and improvement, business transformation, or operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of process integration with enabling technologies (e.g., ERP, planning tools, automation platforms).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects throughout the lifecycle and deliver results.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of MRP Material Requirements Planning (MRP)processes and system requirements.
  • Experience working and leading unionized team members
