  • Manage and implement solutions on Azure APIM and Service Bus as core components of the integration platform architecture.
  • Develop and deploy components leveraging message brokers and message queues to enable reliable and efficient communication between services.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes for integration platforms to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Apply hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies to design, implement, and optimize integration solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practice & tools like GitHub, Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Establish and document integration standards and best practices for API management, message brokers, and cloud-native middleware.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and architecture teams to align integration solutions with organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-Year bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Over 6 years’ experience in developing cloud integration services, API design and development, stakeholder collaboration, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
  • Proven expertise in designing, building, and managing integration platforms using Azure API Management, with strong skills in API development (REST, Synch/Async) using .NET and Azure Functions.
  • Deep experience in microservices and middleware architecture, including event-driven solutions with sub/pub patterns using Azure ESB, and process orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in leveraging cloud-native technologies to design and deploy scalable solutions, and in implementing ETL jobs with ADF or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong DevOps knowledge across the entire SDLC, with a focus on automation, using tools like GitHub for source control, and Microsoft Co-Pilot to accelerate development and code delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and document services and components design for API management and integration, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for production issues, with a quality-focused mindset and adherence to SLAs, and effective collaboration and communication across development, operations, and architecture teams.

It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods. Maintaining a high-performance culture and excellence is a core expectation of every member of our leadership team and is rewarded through the established compensation framework.

OPG is committed to employment equity. As such, we encourage applicants from equity-seeking communities (Indigenous Peoples, racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and women). We strongly believe that alleviating the under-representation of equity-seeking individuals will create a stronger OPG team and allow us to better serve the needs of our diverse communities.

In order to fulfill the above-mentioned purpose, priority in hiring may be given to qualified persons who self-identify as a member of equity-seeking groups as identified in the application process. This initiative constitutes a special program under the Human Rights Code/Canadian Human Rights Act.
