Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Services, this position is responsible for independently identifies and documents business requirements, develops workflow models, and contributes to the implementation and testing of business solutions. It bridges the gap between stakeholders and delivery teams by translating operational needs into functional outcomes that support business transformation.
Key Accountabilities
- Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Business Process Modeling: Develop and maintain business process maps, workflow models, and process documentation using methodologies such as BPMN and UML.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation: Lead workshops, interviews, and working sessions to define requirements, validate business rules, and achieve stakeholder alignment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration, Reporting & Risk Management: Partner with IT, Operations, PMO, and business teams to support delivery, monitor solution performance, develop reporting metrics, and assess business impacts and risks.
Qualifications
- Completion of a four-year university degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience performing business analysis in complex organizational environments.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Proven ability to analyze, redesign, and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
