JOB OVERVIEW 
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Recruitment Coordinator

 

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment, this position is responsible for supporting recruitment processes by providing administrative assistance, scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of recruitment workflows. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES  

  • Provide administrative support for the Recruitment Operations team.
  • Schedule intakes and interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and timely process. 
  • Communicate with candidates to Initiate security and reference checks.
  • Identify and provide recommendations on how to create consistency and efficiencies within the administrative tasks in the recruitment process. 
  • As requested, attend all departmental staff meetings, make all necessary arrangements for meetings including the preparation of agenda, acquiring of meeting room, arranging for audio-visual or other equipment, preparing and issuing meeting notices etc.  
  • Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks for the HR and recruitment team, including document management, file organization, and preparing reports as needed. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is an asset. 
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a support function within a Human Resources department.  
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.

This position is moving to OPG Corporate Headquarters: In Summer 2025, OPG will officially welcome employees to our new Corporate Headquarters located at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario. This position will be temporarily based in Whitby, ON until the move to Headquarters in the Summer of 2025.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
