JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of QA Lead (SAP S/4HANA).
Reporting to the Manager, IT Product Delivery, this position is responsible to lead QA automation developers. A Lead with deep expertise in Tricentis Tosca and enterprise test automation to lead a team of QA engineers and drive quality across complex SAP and integrated business systems. You will own the test automation strategy, establish scalable QA practices, and ensure consistent, high-quality releases through strong leadership, metrics, and modern automation approaches.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Define and execute the test automation strategy using Tricentis Tosca (modules, test cases, reusable components, and best practices).
- Design maintainable automation frameworks leveraging model-based testing, reusability, and risk-based coverage.
- Drive automation for end-to-end processes across SAP (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori) and integrated applications (APIs, web apps, middleware).
- Maintain and optimize automation suites for stability, execution speed, and actionable reporting.
- Create and maintain test strategies and plans for: regression, integration, system, UAT support, performance (where applicable), and data validation.
- Establish QA standards for requirements quality, acceptance criteria, testability, and traceability.
- Ensure robust defect management: clear logging, reproducible steps, impact assessment, root cause analysis support, and prevention practices.
- Implement and track quality metrics (automation coverage, defect leakage, pass rates, flakiness, cycle time, release readiness indicators).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires 4-year university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 8–10 years of progressive QA/automation experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Tricentis Tosca (e.g., Tosca Commander, TDS, DEX) for designing and executing automated test solutions in SAP environments.
- Proven experience designing automation frameworks and implementing scalable, reusable, and risk-based testing strategies.
- Deep knowledge of SAP ecosystems (S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori) and end-to-end business processes to support comprehensive test coverage.
- Demonstrated experience leading QA teams and driving test automation strategy across complex, integrated enterprise systems.
- Experience with integration testing across APIs, middleware, and distributed systems, including data validation and interface testing.
- Strong understanding of QA governance, defect management practices, and quality metrics to support release readiness.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams and drive quality outcomes.
