JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Manager, Business Services.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Services, the Manager, Business Services position provides centralized administrative/business services through the shared services model in records and document management. The Manager develops and recommends integrated strategies, programs, standards and processes to ensure records and document services needs are met through optimal use of resources; monitors the application, effectiveness and security of administrative/business processes and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures and standards.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Devise the strategy and long-term vision within the Records and Document Group in conjunction with the Business Admin Strategy
  • Review the creation, revision and maintenance of controlled documents within OPG
  • Manage the classification, storage, retrieval, retention and destruction of records in accordance with OPG’s records management policies and procedures
  • Verify the accuracy, completeness and up to date status of station records for the nuclear stations
  • Responsible for overseeing the retrieval and scanning of paper records
  • Accept, maintain and retrieve non paper records
  • Review controlled documents exchanged between OPG and external vendors
  • Storage of Letters of Credit on behalf on Finance for Project Contracts.
  • Responsible for the following activities relating to ServiceHub tickets – Issuing documents into AS9, vendor training requests, document searches, retrievals, drawing requests, image change requests, update alert groups, update review cycle and last review dates for non-governance
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the staff

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business services, operations or administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory of management role
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and service delivery best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in business software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, CRM platforms).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards related to business operations.

The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
