JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Associate IT Project Coordinator - Resource Management.
Reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Resource Planning, this position is responsible to own and deliver end-to-end resource and demand management for ERP & SPM initiatives in ServiceNow—including maintaining ERP/SPM records and workflows, coordinating resource allocation across multiple projects, performing cost analysis and capacity/resource planning, and producing portfolio reporting and insights using Agile practices, ServiceNow, Excel, and Power BI.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage end-to-end demand intake and triage in ServiceNow for ERP & SPM initiatives, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely submissions.
- Maintain and administer ERP/SPM ServiceNow records, workflows, and task boards to ensure data integrity and process compliance.
- Coordinate resource assignment across multiple projects, balancing priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain capacity plans and resource forecasts, identifying constraints and proposing mitigation options.
- Perform cost analysis and resource budgeting activities, tracking actuals vs. forecasts and highlighting variances and drivers.
- Produce and refresh portfolio dashboards and reports in Excel and Power BI, providing actionable insights on demand, capacity, and utilization.
- Support Agile delivery ceremonies and planning (e.g., backlog refinement, sprint planning) by translating demand into structured work and resource needs.
- Drive continuous improvement of demand and resource management processes, recommending enhancements to ServiceNow configuration, reporting, and governance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-Year University Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Over 4 years experience coordinating IT or digital projects, preferably within a product team or agile delivery environment
- Demonstrated experience in resource management, capacity planning, and demand management across a multi-project portfolio.
- Hands-on proficiency with ServiceNow (SPM/PPM and workflow/task management), including maintaining records and supporting process governance.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to perform cost analysis, budgeting support, and variance tracking.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) and experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery methods and the ability to support planning and prioritization activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to coordinate across teams and influence prioritization and resourcing decisions.
