JOB OVERVIEW 
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of
 Admin Clerk

 

Reporting to the Director, Station Engineering this position is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative assistance, including developing databases and templates, and supporting business office functions within an industrial environment.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES  

  • Oversee document life cycle activities, including creation, filing, and retention in compliance with standards
  • Convert draft materials into finalized reports, manuals, and other professional documents
  • Arrange meetings, logistics, and documentation for projects and training
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and clerical support to various departments
  • Respond to inquiries regarding administrative, financial, and HR matters
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including scheduling, documentation, and resource arrangement
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies to sustain uninterrupted operations
  • Adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies in all tasks

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent including proficiency in keyboarding and English grammar
  • Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism with sensitive information
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving procedures and contribute to process enhancements
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
