JOB OVERVIEW 

OPG is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven student to join our team in the role of Skilled Student - Mechanical Engineering Technology/Technologist. We have one opportunity available in our Chenaux Station, Haley Station, Ontario location. The work term will be 4 or 8 months and will start in September, 2024. This role is 100% onsite (5 days per week). A valid Class G drivers license is required.

EDUCATION

Minimum completion of 1st year at a college, specializing in one of the following skilled trade programs:

• Mechanical Technician - Industrial Millwright
• Mechanical Techniques - Industrial Millwright 
• Mechanical Engineering Technician - Industrial Maintenance (Millwright)
• Millwright Mechanical Technician

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 

 All students must: 

• Possess a valid G2 drivers license to support a high travel component associated with these positions.

• Be currently enrolled as a full-time, post-secondary student in a recognized institution. 

• Have completed a minimum of 1st year in college by the start of the opportunity. 

• Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA. 

• Be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR require the work term or co-op placement to graduate.
