JOB OVERVIEW  

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professionals to join our team in the role of Fall 2025 Skilled Trade Student to start in September 2025. 

 

We are looking for a student enrolled in one of the following programs:   

  • Mechanical Engineering Technician 
  • Industrial Millwright 

  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES   

  • Contribute to projects aligned with your field and career interests, applying classroom knowledge to practical assignments. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. 
  • Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes relevant to the industry. 
  • Take ownership of tasks, support daily operations, and seek mentorship for professional growth. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technology, or Industrial Millwright Technician program   
  • Completed at least one year of year in college by the start of the work term 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 70%  
  • Returning to full-time studies in the same program after the work term, or require the work/co-op term to graduate

*OPG will be relocating our Corporate Headquarters (CHQ) to the Durham Region. As a result, if your business unit is impacted, your base location of employment will be 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Building Code O11 starting in Summer 2025, but you will report to the Work Location listed in your offer letter until the relocation. If you are impacted by this change, we will provide you with further instructions about the move closer to this date.
